    17R2 Desktop battery mode stopped working

    As the title says, it appears my desktop battery mode on my 17R2 has stopped working. I previously had it disabled with the 180 watt PSU since the system needs juice from the battery to supplement the weak PSU. Got my 240 watt PSU in and decided to go back and enable the desktop battery mode as to reduce wear on my battery.

    Unfortunately, after a number of reboots as well as toggling desktop battery mode off and on, my battery continues to stay at 100% charge. Any ideas? My only thought is that it was a feature that only worked while using the Dell 180W PSU, and the off-brand 240W they send out doesn't have auto-switch or something.

    Anyone have a 240W connected to their 17R2 and their desktop battery mode is working?

    Seems like that could be the issue indeed. Did you try an AlienRespawn ?

    Nope, haven't respawned to see if that fixes the desktop mode. Hoping some more folks with 240W adapters will chime in on whether or not their desktop mode setting is working.
