was checking out for alienware latest CES news.. and found this.. is it only for current gen or even older gen will get this

Can you use ACC from Aw15R3 ?

 

no i cant.. error when installing.. not suitable for ur system..

 

Exactly Maybe you have answered your own question You couldn’t use ACC from 2013/14 models on older 2011/12 models either. New models, new * features Bloatware*.

 

well i just went through the video again.. not supported on current gen laptops.. niceeee.. only on future laptops.. they expect us to buy new ones for this software.. oh crap..

They're using Qt the same one as AMD Relive.
Well I do hope j95 can chime in and do his mod and make it compatible on older gen PCs too.
AWCC has more older interfaces from netfx 3.5 so that's why its slowing down. netfx 4.5.2 and above are a lot faster.

They are upgrading the Alien FX control boards within the laptops for this reason. TO keep things lean they simply cant keep support older stuff.

 

@Vasudev i couldnt bare with franks speech on CES about the command center, he says, simplicity is more important, functionality is included on that, so we built a lot of fail safes, fail safes as in cpu throttle, pch throttle, other bla bla throttle, we spent millions of dollars on research, but yet they cant fix a simple throttle problem, whats the point of RND.. spending so much of time making AIO command center, when the hardware itself flawed.. year after they launch new product, they will simply force ours hands to buy another revision.. its going like apple..

 

That's why I decided to buy multiple PCs from Clevos. BGA and LGA laptops with Prema Bioses. So, when I want to carry around I will Clevo BGA and while at home use Clevo LGA laptop and also a Ryzen TR desktop with AIO or CLC.
I had enough of software crap ruining user experience.
Research to make non gamers feels they have superior PC and for gamers/enthusiasts complete locked down PCs equivalent to Alien Aac Wook Pro.

 

if clevo sells in india, that would be great.. or if someones coming from U.S we can get it from them, i wont change my system for next 5months, but once i get new one, ill send my 15 R2 to my collection, 3rd alienware on display shelf.. 2018 there must be lots of competetion on market.. lets see

 

Getting it from hid or going to USA just to buy some clevos from Hidevolution. Prices will be outrageous but I'll manage somehow.
Won't buy any laptop w/o Prema BIOS. Never ever again, too much hassle and waste of time optimising and tweaking it to perfection.
I really want a strong foundation like Prema BIOS so I need to tweak once and carry it over my collection. Even I need Prema FW on my ferrari's too.

 

i wish they bring open BIOS like we get on any desktop systems.. clean and easy to access. they can set max voltage / other restrictions there.. LLC / RING Max etc.. Yes by software / Firmwares OEMs cripping hardware is so bad.. as if we are paying for some low grade components.. lets see.. how 2018 changes, i dont see any good news from intel or nvidia..

 

WE will see a dip in market shares until 2020. People needs to be aware how Prema BIOS or any BIOS w/o any restriction would perform and eventually kill locked firmwares.

Is it right to ask for new system if my system still throttled after being replaced nearly all parts? they said they will check if they can do anything else and tell me to wait until they respond.

 

I don't know but its very advanced even for me for to configure.
Papusan you might be familiar with certain terms used there. Give it a go.
Some keywords are heterogeneous CPU, Aggressive Boost mode, Autonomous mode etc..
i might have a look at its doc.
