Hi guys,
I recently re-installed Windows 10 on my Alienware 15 R2. However, when I tried to install the Intel ME driver from the Alienware Support site, it says that this platform is not supported. I even installed the Chipset drivers that I am supposed to install first before attempting to install the Intel ME driver.
Please also note that my system is running BIOS 1.3.12, after downgrading from 1.4.4. The Device Manager does not even show the Intel Management Engine component under System Devices.
Any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue.

Check in Bios if you have selected 'RAID on' or 'AHCI' please. Only after re-installing Windows 10 in 'RAID on' and loading RAID drivers during Windows 10 setup I was able to install IMEI and/or IRST in Windows afterwards.
Stock from factory, my Alienware 13 R3 was set on 'RAID on', but I got too f.smart, re-installed stock (non-Dell) Windows 10 Home on 'AHCI' and was getting 'unsupported' messages with both IMEI and IRST downloaded from Dell, or Intel page.Last edited: Apr 10, 2018 -
See if this post might help you or not http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...-17-r3-or-possibly-other-bgas-as-well.813803/
Try HunterZ0's method first. Afterwards, simply switch to legacy boot with secure boot disabled, then bootup windows 10 and use it for couple of minutes. Afterwards, reboot and change everything to secure boot and boot windows and see if you can install the driver.
I had issue like @VICKYGAMEBOY wherein my TPM device will be disabled when I switch between EFI and non EFI modes. -
Has there been any resolution to this? I have tried all the methods including HunterZ0's but ME isn't even showing in the device manager. It seems like it is bricked to the point where I'm unable to reach it in Win10? (Even after CLRP)

flash to new bios.. 1.6.1 and see if the problem is solved.. also when u install anything newer then 10.1.42 chipset driver, it makes thermal platform in system devices rather thn creating a new folder, same goes to intel ME, it changed the name to something else.. this only happens if u install the newest chipset driver from R4, or from station drivers.. try BIOS first.. downgrading is really a bad idea..Vasudev likes this.

I've flashed 1.6.1 using all 3 methods in the other thread. Also just using F12 at startup with a usb stick multiple times. I've also downgraded and upgraded BIOS back several times.

keep 1.6.1 and try to install intel chipset driver 10.1.42.. once downloaded, create a shortcut on desktop, and locate the target setup.exe file and enter ok.. then go to properties of the shortcut you have created, add " -OVERALL " after .exe.. and run the software.. see if this helps. and i can see from the picture you have issues with TPM 2.0 error as well.. check if its code 10.. if yes go to BIOS disable secure boot and load the windows.. it should solve the TPM issue.. after that you can revert back to SECURE boot ON..

I installed 10.1.1.42 with the -OVERALL and it added a few extra items to System. ME still unreadable with MEinfo

if its not working with MEINFO.. probably you will need a different set of ME drvers.. check winraid they have detailed things there..

I've tried the 12.0 and the 11.7 manual inf install with right click-install since all of the setup.exe give me platform not supported. It changes nothing
