    THey wont fix it under warranty. YOu can try booting with an external monitor to check if it still works and afterwards replace the screenpanel yourself.

    If you have accidental damage protection then you can claim it and replace the whole LCD assembly.

    Just tried with my tv and everything else seems to be working.

    My original screen has g sync tobii eye tracking 1440p 120hz. Will I lose g sync and tobii?

    Would anyone happen to know a reliable source for the same panel?

    Tobi eyetracking is a separate module, you need to test if that still works. You wont lose Gsync if you buy the same panel type. But I dont have a source for that now. @iunlock maybe knows where you can source the panel?

    Hopefully I'm able to find the screen. I was able to find the part number searching through some threads

    B173QTN01.4

    But I can't find a reliable source that has them in stock.

    Edit: most places say out of stock or discontinued. Is there maybe an even newer model that came out after they fixed the banding issue?

    before you try and fix panel; you should test with external monitor to make shure everything else works. Just being able to poer on and log in doesn't mean that GPU or other components are working properly

    He already tested with an external monitor. And he's VERY lucky he found someone with a spare panel. I can not begin to state how lucky he is.

    Lol you have no idea how I felt. I was googling for reputable stores with the updated 1.4 qhd screen and they were all sold out or discontinued. There were a lot on eBay but mostly from China and the ones from the u.s. didn't have the version number. When I saw his post saying he had a spare I was like gtfo am I lucky or what.

    I tested everything out. Webcam, tobii, keyboard, trackpad and gpu/gpu temps.
