A00 have better fan profile than newer A06.

It is a peak temperature maybe it happened just for 1 sec.
I would use a soft that allows for plotting the temp to have a better view of your temp during the bench, like XTU. -
I've had best temperatures on A00, and I've tested every BIOS released even A06 beta and A06 RTM.These computers are just junk, they all run hot and they all can't hold turbo to save their lives.

thanks for all the replies.. i think ill try using a06 just to prove dell tech support i have this problem so that they will help me repaste my laptop.. i tried doing the repaste on my own and i got stuck on removing the cable of the hard drive that is connected to the motherboard. it so hard to remove and i dont want to force it, might break the board.. hehe..

Peak temperature or not; 92 degrees or higher in a simple 3DMark test is far too high anyway... What when the thrermal paste begins to dry out because of the heat? Or if you some times have higher ambient temperature when you use your laptop? My processor run 4.3 ghz on all 4 with a maximum temperature of 73 degrees in the same test. 92 degrees celsius can be +96 in six months with high processor temperature over time.Last edited: Sep 21, 2015

Ha. I can't even complete a 3dmark11 assessment on the Alienware 17 r2 without it failing.

Put the processor multiplier to 2.8GHz with Throttlestop or Xtu. Should be able to perform the test then

I am totally agree with you
My point was that it is better to have a profile (graph) of the temp than only the min, the max and the average temp.
