I'm putting this out here as a PSA for anyone having issues with Tobii not connecting or Windows Hello not launching or erroring out. After much trial and error I have fixed it.

Step Two: Disable driver signatures-
-Shift click restart

mine has a different issue, i made the mistake of trying to update to latest tobii update on my win10 1703, and it updated the firmware for the spring update build, and broke the windows hello functionality on 1703, tried going back to previous update which did nothing, now im stuck on that version since it fails to install everytime i try and update

Try what they suggested, completely uninstall both it and the Realtek IR camera software. First you have to install the updated IR driver then Tobii once you disable the driver signature enforcement.

so it could be the driver signature enforcement causing the update to fail then? since ive tried those steps to no avail in the past, im currently using 2.11.1 of the software
