    SOS Alienware 17 screen side light problem needs help?

    The side screen led light bar doesn't work properly, the light is luminous uneven, with dark spots. Does anyone know how to fix this？ Could that be solved by reconnecting the wire？ Please help！

    That seems normal, the strip over there is actually lit up by a LED at the top of the bezel (somewhere near the webcam).

    It's not a LED strip, I'm not sure what it is called but there's a flexible plastic tube that carries and reflects light.



    On yours I think the placement of the small portion light strip might (accidentally) be deeper / positioned more towards the inside.

    I recommend not to open the screen since the process of reassembling is difficult, leave it as is.

    Oh ok man. Well you still got it quicker than most of us. I have no idea when my computer will get to me as they told me they ran out of i7 6700HQ processors so they can't complete my order.
