My 6820hk runs @4.2ghz after repaste as daily driver. No error after 30mins xtu stresstest and 3h BF1 for now. Temps stay below 80 degree even at full load.
Thats an 36% increase over the 6700hq... and i think 4.4ghz is doable for daily use and temps unter 90 degree. That would be an 42% increse... so yes is think the 6820hk is a good upgrade![]()

Not sure how you did your math 4.2 / 3.5 - 1 = 20% increase. 4.4 / 3.5 - 1 = 26% increase

6700HQ boosts up to 3.5GHz; although, not sure if it's consistent or flux clock. Also math is right, though for purposes of captn.ko's post, not meaningful
This is how everyone communicates in my company. Force of habit, so apologies if it came off insensitive. Also your spelling needs work, which is probably why i skimmed over the "allcore 3.1 ghz. Also not sure how stating 'learn to read' is friendly. That's like me telling you to learn to spell or learn to english lolPapusan likes this. -
I will fix it for you... 6700HQ boosts up to 3.5GHz on 1 damn single core!!
FULLY LOCKED!! You need to compare Apple vs. Apples.

I have 6820HQ and it's able to do 3.6 for 4 cores, 3.7 for 3, 3.8 for 2 and 4.0 for 1 core. And I think, more than 3 GHz speeds is enough to play games on 60Hz screen.

+ newer games will come and you will have to lower graphics settings
