Has anyone ever heard of this product before, know someone who has it or uses it?? I ran across this site looking for a “bed desk/bed table” for work. I’m a fire fighter and my bunk room doesn’t have a desk I can use to use my lappy on. So I thought of getting a bed desk so I can play games and such while sitting in my bunk waiting for a call. Its pretty multifunctional (i.e. can be adjusted to a TV tray, laptop stand etc) and can be folded to be put under a bed or closet. Price seems reasonable and the designers claim to be laptop enthusiast and gamers. Seems to handle 17” laptops as well and have room for a mouse. Any other products out there similar to this? I ran into a few while surfing, but didn’t like any of them.

I bought one about a month ago. I LOVE IT....by far the most useful accessory...
it's well designed, made from good materials...Combined with a wireless keyboard and mouse....it kicks ass.

showdawg78, There is SOME room for a mouse, but not for a full fledged size mouse and a 17" laptop.

I haven't found anything comparable. There isn't much in this space but the lapdawg.... I also own a futura tray and it sucks (although cheap, "you get what you pay" for applies). It's as good as a piece of sturdy wood..

    hope this helps...

YA about the 17" laptop, I just checked the measurement of my lappy and the lapdawg only gives me 4 inches of room for a mouse, hardly enough to use a mouse for gaming....gonna have to build my own I think, but would defientely purchase this down the road =)

Awesome product! I bought one from LapDawg and I have no problem with it. I use it all the time to work with my 17" Laptop in bed, but it has also many uses for reading, bed tray, etc. It is ideal for anyone who want to work on their laptop in bed. I highly recommended, you'll be using it all the time.

    Cheers,

It actually looks like a good product but this thread looks fake lol.

Anyways i'd buy it if it were $99 but $130+duty is a bit steep. $99 is a good introductory price to create credibility for any new product because the more people have it the more the word gets out and more sales

Well I went to Bed Bath and Beyond today to see what they had, and they had a pretty cheap table bed with a 22x15 measurement for 13 bucks....hey icom99 have you used a mouse on your lapdawg??? Do you have enough room for a mouse to game with??.....this is one of my BIGGEST concerns....what is the measurement of your 17" lappy and how much room do you have left for the mouse??? Also is the table pretty durable and stable?? Ya the price is kinda high...$130 is a little high....$99 bucks would be perfect!!

Well, first of all, the LapLander is only $48, not $60. Secondly, it was a gift to me, so my cost was significantly less still. Thirdly, it is not bulky at all. An HP DV6000 just fits on top, and the padded base does not add bulk, either, in actual use.

Laplander looks alright, but I'm looking for something that has legs that support the table. not my lap. The weight of the Clevo is about 8.3LBS, and Im nore sure if I want that much weight on me for a few hrs of gaming...the Clevo by the way is a desktop replacement...also I will be having a cooling pad with the laptop while using the table...btw the Clevo measures 15.6" x 11.5" x 1~1.8"...just concerned about room for a mouse

No worries. There are different products for good reasons. Not everyone wants the same things. Choices are good, after all!

    it's $60 with shipping.

Your right thou, there's alot of variations on these types of products that suit different needs.

the X4 is great for making room in small spaces. Products like laplander and futura are lap based...futura is more portable, whereas laplander is more comfortable (i'm assuming).

There's also instand, which is like a pole with a holder on top...and airdesk which is similar but way bigger..

Just got to figure out what you want out of your laptop to make you more comfortable.

Generally, a computer is not the first thought that comes to mind when I consider comfort. ;)

I have something almost just like the laplander that I got at walmart for 15$ it works great for when I am in the living room using my notebook, or sitting on the bed.

The lapdawg looks cool and potentially useful but I feel they are way overcharging for it.

Ya was at Walmart today looking for more "lap tables"...didnt see anything there...never heard of futura...but your all right when ya say its based on your personal preference...Im still looking though, may try a few furniture stores to see what they offer, and may pay a little more, then what big box stores offer. Im now coming up with ideas in the old noggin' for a design of my own

I think it was designed as a lap eating tray. It was in one of the center "for sale" stands and its all nice and jet black. My grandmother even has an old fashion version of it that I use when I visit :p

It serve my purpose because I have a bad back, so I use it in my bed. I can use my laptop, when I am lying down in bed that's why I love it, but I don't use a mouse on it thou cause there's very little room for it.

Yeah its the same thing as the laplander tho, thru and thru.

A surface to place things on, with padding under it to sit on your lap.

    Theres this too: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=13973067&RN=921
Saw it at their store, but its only $13USD and measures 22" not 20" so it gives me about 6.5" of space for a mouse...still kinda tight
Big Lots also has a Utilities Table that measures more than 20" and is adjusted for height and is about 15 bucks, pretty big table top, made of plastic and you can even put your legs under it too. sits kinds high though if you use it on your bed, came just right below my chin, dont think its comfortable to use on a bed
