I have a Lenovo t61, that came with a 20v, 4.5amp (95w) charger, but it recently stopped working, due too a loose connection. Its stated on the laptop that the input should be 20v at 4.5 amps.

Incidentally I have another charger, which im pretty sure, was also supplied with a t61 (without gpu though). The other charger, rated 65w, is the same voltage (20v), but it only supplies 3.25 amps, thats 1.25 less than my original charger.
The thinkvantage power manager seems to recognize the charger as a 65w when it is plugged in (never checked when i had the 90w one plugged in).

Could there be any complication in using this?

    Cheers.

If you never need more than 65W no...

If the laptop recognized the charger as having a lower Power Output then I think no.

Else - the charger could burn out due to a higher power draw - but unlikely if the laptop "knows".

I could imagine it will supplement its power supply from the battery if you want to draw more than 65W under full load.

I suggest you do look at getting the correct charger - but short term I think you should be allright.
