    Hello everyone,

    Does anyone know of any 1tb usb powered external hard drives out there?

    no dice. USB power only means 2.5", and those only come in (up to) 500GB flavors for now.

    nope, they don't exsist. your option is to get 2x500GB 2.5inch drives and put them in enclosers. and have two seperate drives.

    I was searching to for a 1TB usb hdd but unfortunately they dont exsist and I have to buy a 500gb 2.5 .

    i think its nice that more than one people can confirm to an answer. it make the statement more credible.

    look at seagate's or western digital's official site, if there is one, they'll be the safe one to bet on.

    Either that or you get a 3.5 enclosure that has two USB ports. I've heard that using 2 ports gives the required power for the 3.5" drives, but I haven't seen a drive that actually does this...so maybe I'm just hallucinating :)
