Hey everybody. This thread is about 12-cell batteries and processors. I have a few questions.
    1. I thought that 17" laptops can have a 12-cell battery in it, since it's... well this is an ignorant statement, but it should have a larger compartment for the battery, right? However, the ironic thing is that a 14" laptop has the 12-cell battery capacity. Though the battery is jutting out. Here are the ones I want you guys to compare.

    17"

    14"

    2. If you buy a notebook computer in Best Buy, can you go to the Geek Squad and ask them to change the processor in it? I mean, I know BB is a store that sells the whole product, but I was wondering if they carry parts and have people that are able to disassemble a laptop.

I want to change the 17" 's processor to a T7200 or above so that it can run 2GHz.

P.S.: Please don't flame me for my ignorance. As my signature says, I want to learn.

Also, how do you increase your rank in the website? (The words underneath your username when you browse through threads.

1.) Battery size (capacity and number of cells) is not necessarily related to notebook size. Check out the battery guide for more info.
2.) I dunno; however, you probably don't need anything faster than you have. Modern processors will not let you down--likely another component will be a bottleneck. Speed in (MHz or GHz) is not as important as it once was. What will you be using the computer for? You CANNOT mix AMD and Intel notebook processors. The 17" has an AMD; you cannot install an Intel chip.
3.) Rank increases with post count.
