I actually made a post for same advice few months back, but because the search function is not working, I cant find that post, so posting again. At that time, i didnt go for it, as it was winter and I could go without cooler, but with summer approaching and since I use my notebook on sofa or bed more than on table, I would like to invest in a good cooler. One thing I dont understand is what is the difference between the air-blowing vs air-sucking cooler design and which one is better????
I move my notebook around my home a lot. I dont sit it on hard surface as much, and its mostly on bed (which doesnt let it breath properly, thereby making it hot), so I need a cooler which is thin and easier to carry while plugged into notebook, as well as when on the go in backpack, and comfortable when on my lap.
So only things I am looking for in cooler are:
1) easier to carry, possible thin design
2) ultra-quite
3) efficient cooling
Lot of coolers I found have one or two fans, which may or may not be sufficient for proper cooling, so I was trying to settle on Zalman NC-1000. It seem to have even air distribution underneath the notebook and is said to be ultra-quite. Has anyone used it?? How is it in use??
Any other recommendation???
Thanks for help guys!!!

The NC-1000 and NC-2000 (17" version) seems to be the preffered cooler these days. Im not sure if its that portable.
A air-blowing cooler is more effective.
Moving this to the accessories section. Alot better responses and personal reviews there.. -
Take a look at my buyers guide in my sig. Search function works.
Honestly the Zalman seems good for you I find the NC2000 comfortable for travel review also in sig XD -
I bought a Zalman nc-1000 last summer and used it daily while in school. It's an awesome cooling pad and its sturdy/sexy/well designed. Never had a problem carrying the laptop on it from room to room, especially since its run by the usb power from the laptop. I would definitely recommend it.
15.4" Notebook cooler recommendation needed..
