So I'm looking for a backpack for my laptop, its a 15.4" beast. But I also want enough pockets for alot of other items. I've gotta have a spot for my my charger, shades, specs, phone charger, 3 usb cables(various kinds), mouse, IEM's, portable HDD, flask(hehe), and maybe some more things. Basically want alot of smaller pockets so I don't have to stack everything into one big one.

    http://www.amazon.com/Swiss-Gear-Ibex-Notebook-Backpack/dp/B000WQCYDI

I actually got this at Office Depot when there was a 50% off on all Swiss Gear backpacks. It's a beast of a laptop backpack for college. Enough room for your laptop, binder and books, accessories, and then some. There's a lot of small pockets, but I dunno if it's enough for you, but you could go into any Best Buy and check it out.

If it helps then I'd like to have pockets easily accessible for my glasses, headphones, and flask. ;) Thanks for the suggestions so far though. And keep them coming if we can.

Have you tried a military surplus store.
I got a really sweet bag for $35 like 3 years ago. Its leather, and canvas. The whole inside is rubber lined to keep water out. Mine has Two pockets and a large one. When I bought mine up in New Hampshire, there was one next to it which had many pockets.

After 3years, it hasnt ripped at all, and I use it every day.
Some of the rubber started to peel off the canvas, but it goes right back on with a heat gun.

Agreed. I carry my 16.4" laptop in The North Face Big Shot. It barely fits, because the sleeve makes it even bigger, but it's OK. A 15" laptop would definitely fit in it (note: it wouldn't fit into the laptop pocket).

The backpack itself is VERY comfortable, at least for carrying some 10-14kg (haven't tried more). I can fit more stuff than in my previous cheapo $30 backpack, and it's smaller (ie it doesn't extend too far behind you and you don't look like a fool). It's kinda water-resistant. My only complaint is that the mesh on the pads is torn after half a year of use. Nothing serious, I guess I could fix it...

I had thought about buying a Big Shot or Box Shot for my Asus G51 until I looked at them in a store. I was not impressed with the padding in the included Asus backpack (bezel on last laptop got cracked in the bag), so I was looking for something rugged with lots of padding and comfortable while on a bike. The North Face bags were ok, but I ended up choosing the Deuter Giga Office. The pads fit perfectly, and there is enough space in the main compartment for a second laptop and a textbook.
