Well it will definantly fit but since the laptop will be moving around during transit it could cause damage to the laptop.

Are there any similarly-designed 14.1 laptop cases ? I have had no luck searching for one. I like this one because of the multiple compartments and the fairly high quality for the low price.

    Thanks

I suggest you pick up a 15" padded sleeve for the book just in case.

But to answer your question, definitely.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have a MacBook, 13.3 inch, but I'm using a MacBook Pro (15.4 inch) bag and it fits great. The MacBook bag fit perfectly snuggly, which I personally didn't like...too much work to just put the notebook in and take it out, and more chances to get scratched. So I opted for a larger bag, got the bag for the 15.4-inch MBP and it works great.

I'm sure you will have no problem. It is unlikely that the computer would be such a loose fit that it will move around. You are talking of possibly 3/4" space around the sides of the computer.

My asus 14 inch came with a bag made by targus the exact same size as the one you are thinking about. It is large, smaller would be better but its fine.

    I have a Samsonite L35, which fits my 14.1" like a glove....
