Will backpacks and bags made for 15.4" laptops be able to carry a 16.4" laptop? Will a 16.4" laptop need a 17" bag? I hope not because they are just too big. Anyone know? Is this something that will just have to be tried out?

You will need a 17'' bag for sure. Infact 17'' bags would eb a very good fit for a 16.4'' notebook.

just look for bags using the dimensions of your particular model.

17" bags are going to be VERY similar to the size of a 16.4" sized bag.

And there's not going to be much difference between a 16.4" and 17" bag, so...

If this is the Sony FW (the only 16.4" I know of right now), overall system dimensions are very close to (and slightly smaller than) the 17" MacBook Pro... so you may want to look at bags designed for that. It should be a little bit better fit than the average 17" bag, which has to accomodate some of the larger 17-inchers. Of course, if you don't mind a less-snug fit, then any 17" bag should do.

    Sounds like a smart idea.

Also, I'll betcha some 15.4 bags are made slightly larger than they need to be... which means they might be just perfect for the 16.4" laptop.

    Hello ******,

The VGPAMC7 will be available on sonystyle.ca by the end of the month.

Unfortunately, we will not be offering the VGP-AMB11.
