I know there's probably about two of these threads made a day...but I've really been anxious to get a cooler for my 17" Inspiron. Please let me know of any renown brands, cheap is good, but definitely quality over anything else. I was looking at http://www.xpad4laptop.com/index.html...anyone know anything about it? Or anything better.

Looks like that is a passive cooler, and I'm not sure how well that will perform. I'm sure many people would recommend the new Zalman NC2000 cooler. Its not exactly cheap, but it well built and quiet.

    Link to NC2000 thread

I have the NC1000 model, which is just smaller, and it performs very well. Hope this helps.

The Zalman NC2000 seems to be a popular choice. See X2P's user review about it, lots of pics
