    Hi,
I have a dv9335nr (17" widescreen) and am looking for a backpack for school. I need the backpack to fit the laptop, but also 1 or 2 textbooks for class. I am looking at this bag, the Toshiba (Targus?) 17" backpack:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834996080

Wondering if anyone has it and can tell me how the laptop fits, as well as how roomy it is with the laptop in there (room for textbooks, calculator, notebooks, etc.) OR can recommend another 17" backpack thats good for students.

Edit: comfort factor? How comfortable are your notebook bags

    thanks

I can recommend the Targus XL backpack also. I use it with my D901C with no problems. If it can handle 20+ lbs of notebook and accesories its good to go.

I have a Heys ePac17 for my 17" Sager and I really recommend it.

Here's another topic where I talk about the ePac17 (with pictures) if you're interested.

This backpack is the Targus XL and you can get it cheaper under that name. I think I paid 39.99 for it. Fits a lot of stuff including all my accessories and books.

Well.. I got the STM Large Loop backpack for all that's worth... I am not sure if it is a good idea to get a targus backpack... because when people think targus, they think either toys or some other electronics. If space is what you are looking for, try the booq python. From what I have read, it is a monster of a backpack.

Personally, I use my Dell XPS Backpack when I have to move my laptop around, but I might be thinking of investing into a Crumpler backpack. I'm not sure, but the one I was looking at seemed to look like it could fit my XPS and some extra books in there.

But to be quite honest, don't you think a 17' Laptop for School is a bit too much? I rarely ever move my XPS, save going on very long trips where I know i'll feel the need to game, or if I'm going to a LAN or something.

I don't plan on carrying the laptop everywhere all the time, but i want to be able to do it when i actually need or want to.

STM Loop looks nice but... $$$ =[

The Targus Voyager backpack would be great for a 17" notebook although its advertised for a 15.4" notebook. I was thinking about buying the backpack 2 weeks ago but it was huge! Definately made for a 17" notebook with lots of left over room for books. There's also lots of pockets and zippers. But I Googled it online but only found Canadian websites.

I bought a Kensington Saddlebag backpack yesterday (it was one of Dell's 10 days of Deals sales) and its supposed to fit up to 17" notebooks. I read a lot of reviews before making my purchase and it's supposed to hold up pretty well in weather and everyday life.

Anyone have any experience with Ogio? I really want some feedback on their quality. I haven't been able to find one of their bags yet. All the local dealers are Golf pro shops or country clubs. They would only be carrying the golf bags, I'm assuming. Even a review on those would help, I guess.

Edit: specifically I'm wondering if the Politan will snuggly fit my 1520 even though it is made for a 17".
