Hello, just now registered to the forums even though the site was a considerable help when shopping for a PC. I finally decided on a decked out Dell Inspiron e1705. I've gotten everything I need from optic mouse to printer EXCEPT some sort of a case.

I really care what the case looks like, as I will be carrying it around quite a bit.I have other bags I carry around alot, like my favorite messenger bag I've had for awhile, and so I don't really want to buy a new one (mainly because everyone of them I've seen screams "steal me I have a notebook inside", as well as looking retarded) I REALLY like the sleeve thing I've seen on a few of the notebooks I've come across. No straps, no handles, no pockets, just a protective layer of padding, so I can just put it in whatever bag I'm carrying at the time.
    Example : http://www.amazon.com/Fellowes-Neop...0DZFVT/ref=pd_sim_dbs_e_1/002-3033658-0128842

However the problem is that in all of the comments everyone says it barely fits a 15.7 notebook, and wouldn't stand a chance with a 17 inch widescreen. I really like the minimalist case and I was REALLY hoping to find anything somewhat similar for my size, which I have utterly failed at. I at once thought of lovely notebook review and prayed that maybe you could help me with my problem. Anything you have to say I would love to hear. Thanks!

    Height : 11.3
    Debth : 1.6

I have a SF bag for my Macbook and it fits like a glove. I was also in your same situation; I didn't want one of those "laptop bags" that everyone carried, so I bought a SF sleeve instead.

You should consider an optional shoulder strap for the SF bag. You may get sick of carrying a 17" Inspiron in your arm, unless you have laptop inside another bag.
