As above I'm looking for a laptop backpack (I love my current targus - but it only holds 15 inchers) that will hold a 17 inch laptop. Any suggestions?

    Have
Dell Inspiron 2500, 800 Mhz P3, 312 MB Ram, 6.5 MB Onboard Graphics

    Want
Dell 9200, 2.0 GHz, 1024 MB Ram, 128 MB Ati Mobility Radeon 9700 Graphics

Hi. I have a Toshiba 17" widescreen and I use the Targus TXL617. Does the trick well. I thought about hot-linking to pictures but didn't want to be rude.

I called up Mac dealers because I felt that they'd know something about 17" widescreen notebook packs that PC dealers wouldn't. Figures they've got the skinny on the more expensive stuff.

For twice the price the Booqbag Boa XL is nice.

Also, by searching Brenthaven.com you can find a military-grade nylon built backpack which is virtually indestructable. Double check that the Dell you want isn't much thicker than the Mac Powerbook 17.

That targus one looks like a really nice solution.

I'd swear they didn't have that on the UK site. - They don't - but I've got a site that'll sell me one.

The other two look really good - but I'm not spending that much on a backpack.

Thanks for pointing these out to me.

Why would hot linking pics be rude (might be a prob for those of us on 56K I guess...)
