I'm looking for a backpack to house a 1.5" thick (at least) 17-inch notebook. I've been hunting for quite a while. I do have an occasionally unearthed stm Convertible which does swallow thick-ish 17-inchers, but I'm looking for something crisply styled and high quality with more room for stuff than the low-profile Convertible. The Targus also in my possession is strictly for when I'm wheezing on the bicycle - you wouldn't find me wearing that anywhere else. I also have a couple of Axios but in reality they struggle even to contain a 17-inch Crapbook.

This is currently the leading contender, a narrow lead over the Booq Boa.

But I really don't like the way it looks. I don't really care much for the Boa either. I want more minimalism and more class (as much as is possible for a backpack, at least). Suggestions please (if they exist)!

That Tumi is very nice, I would bike with a back pack like that for my 1530~

I bike with the Swiss Gear Synergy! It's nice and works for me.

Have you checked out Mobile Edge?

    Cin ;) :)

How about a backpack for a monster laptop ie clevo 900c? I'm looking for one that can hold it as well as other accessories and/or a netbook?

I've seem some of the packs there elsewhere. Not for me. The Tumi is my 'worst case' option, but I'm hoping that there are better-looking packs out there.
