Been looking at some bags for my new NP8180 and I am leaning towards the Slappa Kiken.

My question is has anyone had experience with this bag or any other similar large laptop bags + large/heavy laptops that has had trouble flying with a carry-on + the laptop as a personal item?

Browsing reviews on amazon, I only ever saw one comment about it and it was for a Targus backpack style bag. I'm heading overseas with a full compliment of bags (2 checked, 1 carry-on and 1 laptop bag) and since most of the airlines I have checked don't actually list specifications for the personal item, I thought I would ask around here.

    Thanks in advance.

I've never seen anyone stopped with a loadout like that. I don't know about the current state of within-US air travel with their love for hidden fees on anything you can imagine, but US to China and within Asia I've personally carried on a large hiking backpack and medium messenger bag loaded with a laptop and half a dozen books with nary a sideways glance. You should be fine flying internationally with that load.
