The computer I have is the one in the sig, it has 1 eSATA port, I have a Seagate Freeagent Pro 1TB external drive plugged into that port.
I have another external WD My Book 1TB drive that is only USB. I am looking for an external enclosure with an eSATA port to put the HDD from the WD external in.
So I will have 2 externals and 1 eSATA port, I have a few ideas but I am not sure they will work.
1. Get an eSATA port multiplier and use the 2 drives. http://www.sataport.com/
2. Get a dual drive external enclosure and put the HDD from each external in it.

The issue with this is, if I do JOBD will 2 drives work over 1 eSATA cable?
If I get an enclosure that has Raid options, will Raid 0 work with 2 different name brand same size drives?
3. Find a dual drive enclosure that has an eSATA Hub/port multiplier built in. (Anyone know of one?)
Thanks in advance for everyone’s input.

Here's an example of what you can get:

You don't need a port multiplier. An external enclosure like this has a built in RAID controller, so as far as your system is concerned, there is only 1 "drive" attached (just like internal RAID). Raid 0 will work even if they are different brand drives.
2 External Drives 1 eSATA port what to do?
