    hi, im trying to find something that will let me choose my source. its kinda hard to explain.

    but basically.

    i have my desktop and my laptop. and one set of speakers, is there a way that i can hook up everything to like a switch so i can choose what my speaker is using as its source?

    Closest thing I've heard about is a KVM switch with audio support, like this one.

    You can usually go to radio shack and get a switcher like this.

    It should work for you perfectly. You might need two 3.5mm(headphone) to RCA cables so you can plug your laptop and desktop into it. Then plug your speakers into it, if they take RCA, if not then you might need RCA to 3.5mm and it should work.
