So i get to uni only to find when i unpack my creative speakers they don't work. Trouble is i can't live without a set of good speakers and money is now an issue. Can anyone recommend a decent set for a fair price??
Thanks

What sort of price range are you looking at. Have you contacted Creative about the problem with your current speakers?
-
Anything under £40-50 really but if there is a really stand out pair for like 60-70 then i don't mind living cheaply for a month =]
No not yet. I've had them for about 2 years. And i just set them up as usual and when i turned them on with the volume switch nothing happened. Worth contacting them? -
Yes, definitely worth it. Just make sure you check everything is set-up correctly: Plugged in, volume on the input device is turned up, etc.

Yeah i've tried all that =[ but I'll send them an email. can you recommend any other systems i could look into buying?
-
I suggest the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 system. I've tried a few different 2.1 systems and in my opinion is the best one for the money.

The logitech z-2300 is marvelous. I know it's slightly beyond your budget, but they are worth every penny.

The logitech z-4 is decent for its price of $60-80.
Or the creative t20 if you are looking to save space. -

altec lansing acs340 is really nice if you can find a set
