27" S-IPS Monitor 2560X1440 for ~ $300 ?!

I was browsing Ebay when I noticed this one:

A 27" 2560X1440 Monitor with LG S-IPS panel for a very low $300. Apparently it uses the same display as the Apple Thunderbolt Display!

I'm amazed. Any experiences here?

I want to connect this to an Macbook Air with mini display port to DVI. Would this work?

 

Yep, these Korean monitors are a great deal. Literally a third of the price for the exact panel that the Apple 27" monitors use. There was a thread a while ago on the monitors, here.

One of my friends got one; it's stunning. The only downside is that he has a single dead pixel in one corner, but it's not really much of an issue. If you pay a bit extra, I think you can get a guaranteed pixel-perfect monitor from them.
