This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I'm sure you Lenovo/Sony/etc users know what I'm talking about - you get a super compact power supply, and then they ship a great big cable with it.

    I'm wondering if there are compact plug-only alternatives which snaps onto the PSU directly, for either UK or EU plugs.

    Not that I am aware of. But you are right, Kodak used to have these snap-on connectors for their charger. Apple has some as well
