Hey everyone. Recently, I've decided that I don't feel like playing games on my pc anymore that I could do better with a gamepad. So...I want to buy a xbox360 gamepad.
I've noticed that they are selling xbox360 controllers for windows. I did some research and it seems like people are telling me to buy the xbox360 controller and not for the windows because they charge you 5 dollars more for a driver cd where I can just dl it off Microsoft.com.
Two Questions:
1. Does a regular xbox360 controller work on a pc?
2. Will a wireless xbox360 controller work for a pc?

1. Yes
2. Only with wireless receiver, pending release by Microsoft (unless it's already out and I'm slow)
See my posts in this thread for driver configuring -
only the wired one will work because there is no receiver for the wireless one...yet

You'll love 360 gamepad, I've play all my games with it. You'll be happy with it like I did.

Wait till November and get a PS3 bluetooth controller instead.

Gaming and bluetooth aren't the best combination, bluetooth is just generally a big laggier. The PS3 should handle it fine, but a PC probalby won't handle it as well.

The 360 wired controller works awesome with a Windows PC, I have one. I just purchased the one that was in the Xbox 360 section of Target, and it works fine. You can download the drivers off of the internet if you need to. I play Madden with it, Need for Speed, and even some emulations. It works perfectly for all of them.
