Hi
I had a thread on 3d before and was disappointed with 2d to 3d conversion. No program and no tv could give a 3d effect with 2d content. I was at futureshop and saw the newest lgs they were talking about. And I could not believe how good it was. I almost argued with the rep over it being native 3d content. It was that good. Also the pixel density was higher and the image looked 1080p sharp.
Point of this thread is a heads up that well check it out.

If a nitrogen powered fist cant knock your socks off I doubt a TV can.

Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
While I confess that I've not actually tried out a 3D TV in person, I have yet to see a 3D movie in theaters that doesn't A) look fuzzy, B) look too dark (because of the glasses), and C) give me headaches. Most recently, I saw The Avengers with my girlfriend, and there were times when the clarity was actually better with my glasses off than on.
I know, different tech, blah blah blah, I just don't feel excited about 3D. Unfortunately, it seems like any TV in Wuhan with decent image quality is 3D, meaning it costs at least 2000 RMB ($300) more than it should. It's also hard to tell the quality in the store because they demo them with 320p DVDs ripped from Youku or Tudou, so they all look like crap.

i can't jump on the 3DTV bandwagon until all sets accomplish it without glasses. and then, i anticipate viewing angles (w/out glasses) to be crap, at best.
i may just hold out until 3D ocular implants become available and the signal is beamed directly into my brain...
all that said, thanks for the heads-up. i'm going to check them out. maybe i'll have a different attitude after seeing it. -
if you have an nvidia card and your 3d tv happens to be passive, aka interlaced, aka cheapo glasses type, install the attached .inf file as the driver for your display, via devices and printers right click your display and hit properties and continue until you can update the driver, and you get 3d for games, that has much less lag than 3dtv play. i found this trick on this mtbs3d.com so if you have any questions fell free to ask me, one bug though is the eyes are flipped so you need to wear your glasses up side down...

3D is just a new buzzword since HD has become mainstream. That's how I see it.
