Apologizes if this is a dumb question and this is something that has been annoying me lately and I can't seem to find a straight forward answer. So if anyone knows or can point me to the right resources I would appreciate it.

    I understand that on a 4K TV/Monitor, 4K@60Hz is only possible via HDMI2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2.
    4K@30Hz is possible via HDMI.

My question, if viewing content at 1080p via HDMI1.4 slot, am I still locked at 30Hz, or will it go up to 60Hz since it is not 4K?

Example, if I have a PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U hooked up to a 4K TV and they are all running over HDMI1.4 at 1080P, are they all running at 30Hz or are they running at 60Hz?

    Thanks,

They will be running at 60hz if its only 1080 resolution. I've got a 39" seiki 4k screen that I use for looking at blue prints on and when I switch it to 1080 then it works fine for movies etc.
