The Plantronics GameCom 777 comes to mind. I also recommend the Razer Megalodon, but that's $150. You might be able to find it for less elsewhere though.

Don't get a Bluetooth headset. Quality is only as good as the quality of the connection, which generally isn't great.

Typical with any wireless audio components. But if $100 is your budget limit, you likely won't be able to tell the difference.

i dont think theres such thing as 5.1 or 7.1 in a headset?
    IMO
all i know is there are stereo headsets...cuz 5.1 means you got to fit 5 REAL drivers and one subwoofer into the headphone which is impossible by current technology and just plain gimmick(most likely is just software based synth)

any gaming headsets is OK...look for sound quality...dont fall to that 5.1 crap

I'm not a sound junkie, but if you're looking for wireless I use the Creative HS-1200 and I really like it. Headset and Mic for $100

Yes, such a thing does exist but of course it's not a genuine 5.1 or 7.1 sound, rather, a simulation. These types of sound trickery devices electronically simulates a multi-channel signal; and also available as single box speakers for convenience and to save space. They were first developed by Yamaha and later by Polk Audio and others.

Anything towards the cheaper range like 50? Not sure how much money I'll be getting for my birthday so i said $100 as a price range to be safe as I never get more than that

Surround sound headphones are gimmick. Just a good regular pair of Grado somethings.

I would suggest some Trittons. I have the x360 5.1 for the Xbox360, they have saved my life many times in games.

Were 120 when I got them, you should be able to find them for about 100 now since they have newer models now.

The logitech g35 just went on sale for 80 at best buy. Best headset I have used by far.

Great sound, the surround sound is incredible. 7.1.
