    yea if you hook it into the headphone jack only the front left and right and subwoofer will work..

    You could invest in an external sound card, to fully utilize all 5 speakers.

    umm recommendations for budget one?? because i don;y want to spend 150 on my speakers..... i was going to be 110... oh well.. the lower price with good sound card would be best thks...

    Is there a sound card that uses the PCMCIA card and can utilize 5.1 surround sound? I checked the Creative Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA sound card but it doesn't seem to have extra jacks for full surround sound.

    Sugggestions anyone?
