I hear that e-mails are already being sent out explaining the situation. I still bet that at least one person raises hell and gets a fantastic price on this. Maybe not $10, though.
-
I have not received an email from them yet. However, the status of my order has changed to "Delivery Date not available; contact Customer Care at 1-888-BEST BUY."

Dear MIKE,
There was a pricing error on the Samsung 52" LCD HDTV; as a result, your order will be cancelled and you will not be charged for this item. We are sorry for this error and apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions concerning our policies, please review the "Conditions of Use" which are found at www.BestBuy.com.
Please note that while your credit card hasn't been charged for the cancelled item(s), the authorization for funds may still reserve available account funds. Authorizations for funds generally expire after 7 days, but some credit cards may keep them open for a full billing cycle. Please contact your credit card company with questions you may have on their process.
If you used a gift card for this order and no longer have it, please call us toll-free at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) and we will send you a replacement. Please do not hesitate to contact us with additional questions.
We are sorry for this error and apologize for any inconvenience.
The Customer Care Team -
Does anyone know if there is a law, for any state, that says something along the lines of "If the seller accepts payment for an item they must sell the aforementioned item for the advertised price"?
-
It doesn't matter, since when purchasing the item, we agreed to their Terms and Agreements. This overrides any default state laws if there are any.
-
Seriously? Shouldn't laws overrule their contracts? What if they put (extreme example) they could kill you if you don't pay your bill?
-
I got my email too
It'd be great if someone did find a legal technicality that resulted in all of us getting 'em

these errors occur all the time, get posted on a deal site, and 10,000 people try to get the super-cheap item.at best, all you could have hoped for was some sort of $10 gift card for your inconvenience or something...
but there is no way you're going to get around this one. the ONLY way you could maybe get away with something like this was if you were the only one who found it. after thousands have been ordered at $10, you can just forget about getting anything. -

Because they know full well if even one person got it you just opened the gates to everybody else to have a reason to get it. -

Being cynical , would this not be a great way of getting people to visit your website, I know it`s going to be a lot of work refunding peoples money, but it`s free advertising.
How many have now visited Bestbuy , that would not have. -

here's a thread i found on my local forum.

Damn and I was hoping for some "epic lulz" to come out of this towards best buy!

Some of you act like you've never seen this happen before.
If you read about a deal too good to be true, you're already too late.
