Is there a 6-pin firewire to USB 3.0? If you Google images for a 6-pin firewire converter to USB, only 2.0 ones would show up. 6-pin firewire is faster than USB 2.0 but USB 3.0 is faster than the firewire so I'm wondering if it actually exists?

Also, if a camera outputs video from a 4-pin port, then is a 4-pin to 6-pin connection required? Logically, I assume that a 4-pin to 4-pin would transfer the same amount of data as a 4-pin to 6-pin because it's outputting from a 4-pin port, but I've been told otherwise by a couple video production professionals.

4 & 6pin (firewire 400) is limited to 400mbps, which is not faster than USB2.0 (theoretically). Only 9pin (firewire 800) is much faster than USB2.0

Also the 2 extra pins (from 4 to 6pin) are just power pins so as long as the device has its own power it can potentially transfer the same amount of data through its 2 twisted pair wires.
