I have a Compaq V2565US, a version of the V2000. I need to replace the power adapter and I see both the 90w and 65w list compatiblilty with V2000.

Is there a reason why I would want one over another?

    90W would charge it faster.

65W should be smaller and lighter, so better if you need to carry it around.

Yes. Also, a caveat with the 90w adapter is that because it charges so fast, sometimes the battery doesn't get charged properly. And its also not good for the battery to be charged so fast (I am talking about 6 cell here, on 9 cell its good).

Anyway, I have noticed that if I use the 90w on my 6cell battery, it shows 100% on charging till I take it off the juice and then it reads only 95%. While my 65w charges it just fine.

If you have the shared ram X200M (as the specs say), you can get away with the 65w. The dedicated ram X200M and discrete gpus require the 90w......
