has anyone bought the color kits that Dell sells for the 9300? They make like a cherry wood, carbon fiber, etc. I was wondering how they fit an if the cover the white bumpbers on the 9300.

I have the Cherrywood cover for the 6000 and it is beautiful, I get comments on my notebook every time people see it. It does not cover the white trim on the sides but it looks very nice with the white trim exposed. The top snaps in on the back and front of the notebook top and fit really nicely; they are also easy to remove if you feel you need to take it off.
This is a very nice item if you want to spice up your notebook and it honestly looks very nice and is really nicely made. I thought about getting one for some time and I'm really happy I did.

I agree with ARB. I have the blue one, and I do get alot of compliments. Although I do wish it would cover the white trim because the white trim on mine is starting to chip off.
I think it is better than the orginial lid. The cover seems to protect it better, and it doesn't scratch easily.

I have the carbon fiber one. It doesn't look to great but I'm throwing stickers on it. So the Carbon Fiber one doesn't look to great up close. But if you are going to throw stuff on it to make it "unique"/craptastic then it's cool. I prefer the cover off though.

Unfortunately notebook stickers don't go over well in management meetings.
