    A 9 cell battery for my laptop

    I recently purchased a gateway m-6827 laptop, and I want to purchase a larger capacity battery for such.

    Gateway tech support recommended this:

    However it is extremely expensive. Would anyone know of another compatible battery (internal or external) with same/more capacity as the one in the link?

    u might get more responses in the gateway forum

    theres currently a battery shortage(battery factory on fire in china, low production.....) laptop manufacturers raise prices so that they could have enough for their laptops... though HP have returned prices to normal

    Nope it's not, there are 12 cells batteries but few manufacturers use them. I think dell have those.

    Hey Ayle! I don't know when you changed your avy, but I like it a lot. You care correct in that Dell does make 12 cell laptop batteries, in fact, they have made them for quite some time now. Like ever since the 5100, maybe beore IDK. HP makes them too.

    @ the OP: That may not be such a bad deal. I would look at e-bay before you spend that much, but batteries are in short supply right now and are therefore expensive.
