Anyone know of any good drawing tablets for under $400 that have a screen to physically draw on?
I've looked into Wacom Cintiqs but they're a bit pricey.
I mainly do line-work, nothing too detailed. (think line-art/manga type stuff)
Any suggestions?

Have you considered a Wacom tablet for an existing computer?
Because I don't think you'll get enough precision with a generic commodity $400 tablet. -
Yeap. Maybe grab a Microsoft Surface. That would be the cheapest option for a tablet with a screen and Wacom pen.
Other than that you might want to grab a Intuos 5 to b used with an existing system.
Cintiques will be super pricey for sure, but are targeted at pros more or less. -
Old surface.
New ones use N-Trig. The performance is generally fine though. -
You might want to visit our friends over at TabletPCReview.com. They might be able to give a better picture on the budget end of the tablet.

Surface Pro 2 or 3 may be possible within the budget.
Or, you could also look at an Intuos and hook it up to an existing PC. -

Didn't mono price have something like that? Forgot how much those went for though.

Huion offers some good stuff, I have been very impressed so far might be worth a look.

Besides requiring a battery for the stylus and some small driver issues, it works quite well, moreover they're so cheap that you aren't losing anything.ImHere likes this. -
I agree but over all for a price performance issue it has been great and charging the pen is a non issue as it does not require a charge often even with almost daily use.
