I decided to get a BBP backpack to try out how it going to distribute the weight of a full loaded backpack on my back. Since I have some problems on my neck, my neck hurts when I carry something too heavy, so a good backpack is pretty important to me. But I can not decide either to get the small Hamptons hybrid or the Hybrid Hauler. Does anyone use one of these right now or used it before and tell me what do you think of it? I think the Hauler is better for me since it is only 2.5lb while the small Hamptons has 3.5lb. So does this 1lb really make some difference?

Any extra weight would make a difference. What about finding a combi backpack and carrier?

    cheers ...

Thanks for the help. I purchased an extra small BBP Hamptons Hybrid from their web. They claim that this will not fit the new generation macbook, but in fact, it fits my unibody macbook just right. The zipper may touch a corner of the laptop a bit when taking it out, but it isn't too bad to put the macbook in and take it out from the backpack's laptop compartment. I put in everything I need to carry around daily just to test it. It handles weight pretty well. My back and neck don't feel too much weight and strain from carrying it. The bag basically rests on my lower back, but neither my lower back feels the weight. So this is a pretty good choice I think.
