A fall on my bike broke my lappy. Now I need a better case to go with my new screen

I took a spill on my bike and my Lenovo x61s screen did not survive. It was in a Shinza Zeroshock III case. So now I am currently shopping for a new screen and a more robust case so this doesn't happen again. Suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Mac Hooke

I dont think there are any bags out there that will keep your laptop from a fall from a bike? Just speculation tho.

For me when I ride..and if I'm carrying my lappy, I put it in a laptop *sleeve* and then put it inside the backpack...I have an old Targus backpack (and it works well),....but the sleeve itself, and being inside the backpack helps protect it. :)

I am also very, very careful when I ride..with my lappy in tow ;) :) :)

    Cin ;) :)

Aiy-yi-yi! While it would be hypocritical of me to argue a $170  case when I'm looking at $400 screen repair, a 5.00lbs case kind of defeats the purpose of a sub-3lbs notebook.

This is exactly what i was thinking as well. If I was to take my laptop everywhere I go and especially on a bike I would go for a nice Pelican case. They are water and dust proof. They are a little pricey but worth it for people who are truly mobile with their laptops.
