Ok I think I want to get a tv tuner and have done some research and found that most people on here recommend the Hauppauge one. I will be using it entirely for recording TV. But I am worried about the quality. How will the quality be compared to if I were just to watch the show live. Also looking on newegg they have two of what appear to be the same model. Only one is cheaper. h ttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815116624 and this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815116630
Can anyone tell me what the difference between the two.
    Thanks,
    Adam

They are the same hardware. The difference is software. The MCE model is diesigned for use with Windows XP Media Center Edition. It does not have the WinTV application or some of the other stand-alond apps.

If you are interested, I am selling the retail model of this exact TV Tuner over in the Sale forum. Here is a link.

I've had one for about a year and a half. Haven't found any better, or at least haven't felt the need to. Unless you need MCE for something else, I'd stick with the XP version.
