Ive been looking into tv tuners and i have found this one at newegg.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815100022
I dont know a lot about them and i have a few questions, first by express card i assume that means it will fit in my PCI express card slot on my Sager 2090? Also i assume i can hook up my dishnetwork satellite by unhooking the cable from my tv and hooking it up to the card or hook up an antenna and get over the air tv like using "rabbit ears". Lastly will i be able to record with this card out of the box or do i have to buy some kind of special software?

I have the Aver HC82 card ordered it with my system Dell 1530. I use it with Windows Media Center the card itself is short on documentation. Using it with cable I get cool Movie guides that look like DVD boxes and a few other features that my cable does not provide even with the box. With the antena I get two channels which is not bad I live on an outer island in Hawaii. Not sure how well it works with other programs but Media Center in Vista handles it well and made it easy.

Ok i done more research but I am even more confused than before. From what i understand if i want to run a "hard line" straight from my satellite reciever to my laptop i will need a DVB-S tuner not a regular tuner like the previous one i asked about. These seem very hard to find , i could only find this one http://www.sourcingmap.com/dvbs-digital-satellite-tuner-for-laptop-p-11570.html but i dont want a seperate box or one that i have to install internally. Do they even make a DVB-S tuner that fits in the expresscard slot or is a usb "stick"?
