Hello, I just bought a Gateway p-7915u and my cousin is bringing it with him tomorrow (I live in south america) and I wanted to know, is the ac adapter Universal? for example, USA has one type of V but south america uses another type, i think usa uses 110v and here we use 220v or something, will it work? or do I have to buy an adapter here?

Probably no need, nearly all notebook power adapters these days can switch from 110-240v power sources.

As Greg said, just check to confirm.

I asked XoticPC the same question and they replied that laptop AC voltages are interchangable for any country. Well it is pretty logical since laptops are meant to be carried around anywhere.
