OK, so I have finally ordered the Asus F3JA from laptopsdirect.co.uk and have been thinking what I else I should buy to get the most out of it.

    Here's what I have ordered:

    Asus F3JA-AP024P Laptop
Laptop 1 Year All Risks Insurance (up to £1500 inc vat)
    TechAir 5701 Corporate Backpack
    Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse
    Everglide Titan Gaming Mat
    Official XBox 360 Wired Controller

I also need a headset (for gaming) and some half decent speakers (for music).

The Asus F3JA comes with onboard HD-Audio, I do not want to buy a pair of speakers that are gonna out do this chip, so can anyone advice any speakers that would compliment this chip well, looking to spend around £40 (around $80)

    Thanks

the logitech x230s are very good and in that price range. the z2300s are about $110 or so, are much better, and sometimes go on sale, though not often. Klipsch also makes very good products, though for a slightly higher price. I'm not a fan of the creative's because they use those small aluminum drivers which are physically limited in the quality of sound over the entire audio spectrum. I'd stick with logitech in that price range.

Ahhh, I used to own a pair of these, they wearnt bad. Thanks for the advice.

The only problem I had with these was with my CRT monitor, when the subwoofer was too close it made a small purple blob in the corner of my monitor. I have also seen the same kind of blob on my mates TV when its too close to the radiator.

What is this purple blob all about, and will it effect my laptop?
