I'm ordering an M15X (midrange spec, i5, GT 240M, etc.) next week, and I'm looking to purchase a lapdesk and a Bluetooth mouse (I know latency is reduced, but I need wireless and don't want to waste a USB port with a delicate receiver) to use with the laptop.

    What I've shortlisted:

    Lapdesk:

Logitech Portable Lapdesk N315 - I need a mouse area, and this looks like the only lapdesk with one.
    ( Amazon.com: Logitech Portable Lapdesk N315: Electronics)

    BT Mouse:

Logitech V470 - Cheap and cheerful, don't need extraneous buttons.
( Amazon.com: Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue): Electronics)

Razer Orochi - Increased DPI, wired mode, luxurious with extraneous buttons and quality.
( Amazon.com: Razer Orochi Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse: Electronics)

My main dilemma is choosing a Bluetooth mouse.

I'm tempted to buy the Orochi, thanks to the higher DPI (compensation for low BT polling rate?), wired mode, and side buttons (envious of Mighty Mouse "squeeze buttons" on the side for years now), plus the vaunted quality of Razer products. However, it's quite expensive. Is it worth it for a non-hardcore gamer?

The V470 looks to have standard performance and lacks the desirable features of the Orochi, but is far cheaper.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

    * About the inevitable Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000, I've heard bad things about it, and do not wish to buy it.

If you're going to be using your M15x mainly at home then i would suggest the Orochi as you can use it on wired mode, increasing DPI and polling rate AND saves batteries. If you will be using it on wireless mode then i suggest perhaps using rechargeable batteries. I'm not 100% sure they will work as i haven't tested it myself. If price is a worry then go for the dell, but I 99% guarentee that you will love your Orochi...plus you can set your M15x lights to blue and they can match :D

Another vote for the orochi here! Razer products are excellent!
Although if you are getting an M15x dont cripple it with the GT 240m get the HD5850 it's twice as powerful and doesnt cost a lot ;)

OK, thanks for all of your help, everyone! (finally... :p)

I think I'll purchase the Orochi and the 5850 with my M15X.

Any thoughts about my lapdesk? I needed a mouse surface and I've heard that the M15X's cooling is very good, so I didn't need a fan.
