I'm looking to buy a wireless gaming mouse. I'm a professional road warrior with a horrible PC gaming addiction; so I spend a lot of time on the road, and nights in the hotel room playing video games. I want a spare wireless gaming mouse to keep in my work bag, for use when I am on a business trip.

    Here's what I'd like:

    >> Optical sensor. I find high-DPI laser sensors to be garbage when it comes to mousing accuracy, acceleration, lift-off distance, and tolerance for imperfect mousing surfaces (of which there are many when you're on the road).
    >> Brands: Don't want Razer, or no-name generic Chinese brands, like E-Blue.
    >> I use a hybrid grip, so small claw-grip won't work.
    >> Want at least 5 buttons (L/R, middle, and browser Forward/Back).
    >> Want at least 500Mhz USB polling rate.
    >> Rechargeable or not doesn't matter.
    >> No budget limit. Willing to pay for quality and performance.

I already own a Razer Orochi, and don't like it. It's claw-grip (too small for me), and the rubber coating has started to disintegrate into this nasty sticky gunk.

I already own a Logitech G602, and love it. It's pretty much the perfect mouse to me. And I'd be perfectly happy buying another one and throwing it in my work bag. But I'd like to do my homework and find out what my other options are (if any), before I buy anything.

    Does anything like that exist?

If anyone cares, I decided to just get another Logitech G602. It's about as perfect as a wireless mouse as you can get.

Avago AM010 optical sensor (one of the few "perfect" mousing sensors you can buy); fantastic battery life; respectable 500Hz USB polling rate and max 2500dpi; good weight profile with 2x AA Lithium batteries; stores profiles on-mouse.

    Go go gadget G602.

Good choice. I got a G700s but should have looked into the G602 for its superior battery life.

I have a G502 for my desktop, and bought a G602 for my XPS 15, and it's pretty darn close to my G502. It's definitely a solid mouse.

a bit OT but how is the mouse wheel on the G602? My G502's wheel has 2 modes. One mode is too smooth/slippery and the other is too rigid. I see less use of such thing.
