Which mouse would you recommend? Can get a refurbished tactx mouse for $40 or a brand new G700 for $60.

Which is better, is the wireless G700 worth the extra $20? This is going to be for an M17x I bought from someone.

Only thing leaning me towards tactx is that it's cheaper, G700 is new and wireless which is a big plus but i wish it had a charging dock like the Mamba

I have a G500, I would recommend the G700 (for wireless), it's very ergonomic and comfortable and the ablility to change the sensitivity on the fly is a huge plus in some games. I think it really depends on how you hold a mouse, the tactx looks like more of a "claw-grip" mouse, while the G700 is a "palm-grip" mouse. If you're willing to get a wired mouse, the prices will come down a bit.

okay thanks.....yea I'm leaning towards the G700 cuz its brand new also and not refurbished.

Thats +1 for the G700 so ill wait for a few more responses then order it right away most likely. I guess the extra $20 will be worth it, wireless is def a plus since using a laptop

Good Luck! One thing to think about with Wired VS. Wireless, is that there is always the possibility that a wireless mouse could receive interference and glitch for a second. The possibility of this is low, but the mouse has to comply with Rule 15 of the FCC, so it's still possible. My only other concern with wireless mouses is that sometimes there's a noticeable input delay ( shouldn't be a problem with a more expensive mouse).

Another thing to think about is going to your local electronics store and checking out how the different mice feel ( most big name electronics stores have the logitech g700.

One last thing, also take a look at the logitech performance MX, it's another good gaming mouse that's quite comfortable ( and wireless). Though, I don't believe it's marketed as a gaming mouse and doesn't have on-the-fly DPI switching ( Sensitivity).

    Again,
    Good luck!

The Logitech Performance MX is closer to a traditional wireless mouse than gaming branded ones.
Its maximum DPI is 1500 and its possible to set one of the buttons for switching between two DPI profiles in SetPoint.

The reason why i got one myself is because of how awesome it is at tracking on different surfaces.
