    Hey guys.

I thought that you would find this intersting - This article, the "Ultimate Mouse Hunt" by Tom's Hardware has a wealth of information about mice, how they work, optical vs. laser, etc.

Part two of the Ultimate Mouse Hunt can be found here.

    ChazMan out. :p

both very goods read throughs, thanks. Very gamer related, but I guess it should be as a lot of them are targeted to gamers. Would have been nice if they went over some new notebook mice as well.

    Great read, Thanks ChazMan! :)

G5/G7 - sigh, if it only had that extra "forward" button and was a bit smaller like MX310, I'd be so happy :)

Yea, I've been looking at the G7, pricey but it looks awesome.

I'll miss that silky rubber feeling of the thumb area though :p

That's the exact reason why I won't buy either of em. It's a shame too. Why would logitech remove it? If a certain group of gamers don't want to use it then they don't have to. Well whatever.

Logitech said, they removed it cause gamers were confused and sometimes would push a different button............. the gamers they hired were probably some idiots, like they couldn't assign the same key to both buttons?

The G5 looks so badass - I want to get one for gaming. I once had a razer which looks really cool, but I think logitech is much better for comfort and performance.

inoticed in that article (which was very useful by the way) that there were little arrows to indicat the tilt wheel function on the g5, the pictures that amazion provided (the website i ordered mine from) did not include those arrows. since that tilt wheel was a major factor in my desicion to spend an extra 30 bucks on a mouse my quesiton is this: Did logitech ever make a g5 without the tilt wheel? or is the pictures that amazon has older, or concept pictures.... please someone clear this up for me
