    Got a new hp dv9500t . . . love the computer.

I do want to add a docking station . . . my old docking station (xb2000) has been great with my old dv4000, but that docking station has a different connector end than the one needed for my new dv9500t notebook.

I was not in love with the HP xb3000 docking station, so I did not order it.

Are there any other docking stations that I might order for the dv9500t?

    Looking for a better solution!

    Thanks!

If you are looking for something to power the laptop, than the HP dock is the only choice since it uses their proprietary connection. You might want to see if there is some kind of xb2000->xb3000 adapter that HP has...I know they had one for the 1000->2000 switch over.

If you are looking to drive a monitor or something, you could use the Belkin ExpressCard dock. Even without a monitor, that dock would be the next best choice...but you'd still have to power your laptop with the HP AC Adapter.

But honestly, if you don't need power or a monitor...just get a USB hub. Cheaper too. :p

    Great advice, Greg!

The new dv9500t does not have an express card slot--just an SD/MS Pro/MMC/XD slot.

What USB hub would you recommend?

    Thanks!

Yeah a nice way-cheaper-in-comparison usb hub is better. Belkin are regularly suggested

Yeah, i also use a generic 7 port USB hub. I found a cheap 20$ USB-to-3.5mm sound card, so now all i need to to, to connect my speakers, keyboard, mouse, all-in-one, external hard drive, and *better* media card reader(13 in one, has compact flash) is plug in one USB plug, and the power adapter. It would prob. look more organized if i bought a dedicated dock, but this way only set me back 40$, as opposed to 170$+.
