    Hi all,

Could anyone recommend an ambidextrous gaming mouse for me please? I'd like one with extra buttons on both sides that can we switched when I switch hands (I'm ambidextrous with mice).

So far I've read about the Razer Diamondback 3G, which sounds very good, and about the Razer Lachesis, which sounds excellent but is too expensive for me.

Also, it really necessary to use a fancypants gaming mouse-mat, or will any mousemat do?

    Thanks

+1 For the Diamondback 3G, I owned one for a while, it was pretty good until I replaced it with a right handed mouse. Another worth contender is the Steel Series Xai, that has a better shape for "palm" users.

The better the mouse you get, the less important the mousepad becomes. My G700 will track nicely on pretty much any surface I use ;)

Tracking is 1% of the equation. 90% is the glide and the remaining 9% is the precision.
